Mission Reports

Love Gift Challange

Fact #3 about LOVE GIFT: Fewer than 50% of American Baptist Churches currently participate in LOVE GIFT! PYFBC DOES!!!

A portion of our LOVE GIFT is retained for mission in our region and the remainder continues to move outward to reach persons in the USA and around the world. 15% of the total annual LOVE GIFT receipts is received by ABW Ministries to support ministry with women and girls.!

***L and G –> “LOVE GIFT” ...LIFE'S GOOD …LOVE GOD

Any way you say it, it's MISSION. Time is running out to set those dollar bills aside for collection in May. Remember the dollar for dollar match taking place! Please prayerfully join us in this fun challenge that reminds us of all our blessings and that it's our turn to share those blessings with others.

Mission  Nugget:

Our Special Interest Missionary, Courtney Crisler, at The Place in Norwich, NY, reports that current initiatives are to build the teen development program, think outside the box and continue with partnerships despite waning financial resources. “Both our community and youth deserve to grow and enrich themselves by trying new things, making new friends and working to accomplish goals,” she says. “I truly love to see the excitement and joy that comes from working together, learning new things and making a difference.” Also, she and her husband have begun the process of adopting a child. She notes: We know in our hearts that this is what we are meant to do.”

Gracious God,

We pray this day that you will bless our Missionary, Courtney Crisler, as she gives her love and herself to serve you at The Place in Norwich, NY. We thank you for her commitment to Christ and the many years she has served children and families in various locations. May she be blessed to see the differences that her work has made in individual lives and in the communities where she has served. Guide Courtney and her husband as they seek your will for enlarging their family and may they be assured of our love and support in their ministry. This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Mission Giving

Thank you for your generous contributions to our Mission Outreach on April 21st. We received $494 for our budget and $20 for our Penny Collection bringing that total to $83.47. Please turn in your pennies today. Any received later will be sent in at the end of the year.

---

You are invited to bring your children to the nursery during the service for a safe and Christian environment so that you may more fully experience Worship. Following today’s service please come to enjoy coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Great Room.
