From the board of Christian Education:

Rally Day

Sunday School Rally Day will be on September 12, where all will have the opportunity to enroll in a Church School program. Church School offerings include Primary and Elementary classes beginning after the Children’s Story. The Adult Class will begin after the Sunday Service.

Our teacher for the Elementary Program beginning on October 3 will be Diane DeLooza, who will teach, she says, until the snow flies. Diane is a fine teacher. We hope it is a dry fall, Diane. (Added note from Dick: … and a SNOWLESS winter!)

American Baptist Woman’s Sunday is September 19th.  Our guest speaker will be Amy Manning, assistant regional director for Church World Service in upstate New York. During that servicewe will present to Amy the completed school and hygiene kits we have collected and put together during the summer. Plan to join us for what promises to be an interesting and informative service planned and led by the women of our congregation.

On September 19, we will have the opportunity to walk through Kashong Glen. Our guide, Lyle Conrad, tells that in addition to rhe fall scenery, there are interesting fossils to be found in the rocks along the way. Our trek will begin after the service. Bring tennis shoes and plan to get your feet wet!
