A prayer for the beginning of the school year

O God, we praise you for the gift of this new school year – for its demanding discipline and its healthy freedom; for the joy of effort and the joy of rest; for the inspiration of human friendship and most of all for the friendship in Christ our Lord. Without too much anxiety before an unknown future and with confidence that you are able to care for us and to use us in every situation, we would give ourselves to the work now at hand, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Houses of Worship Carnival -  Saturday, September 6

Keuka College will again hold the annual “Houses of Worship Carnival” on Saturday, Sept. 6th, from 1-4 pm on the Chapel lawn. This event brings the campus and town together with the goal of introducing students to Houses of Worship in this surrounding area; a way to let students know of your presence within the community. First Baptist intends to participate with a game booth, prizes and snacks. Our goal is to have conversations with students while doing something fun. Interested in helping out with this ministry? See Rev. Sanden.
