Lay Studies

Evelyn Emerson will lead a series of classes on “Christian Education  for the Finger Lakes Baptist Association. Classes will be held here at PYFBC on January 12 and 26th, February 9 and 23rd, and March 9. Contact Evelyn by January 4th, at 536-0225 if you are interested.

 

Game Night

The annual Castillo hosted Game Night will be on Saturday, January 12th at 7 pm. Everyone is invited!

 

Official Notice

The FBC of PY Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013. The meeting will begin at 11 am and will be followed by an all church pot-luck luncheon. We hope to see you there!

Help Wanted

FBC is searching for someone to be our “news reporter”. This person will forward information on the events at FBC to the Chronicle Express and the Dundee Observer. For more information call the church office. Coaching is available from past “reporters”.

 

Sign Me Up!

There is a new sign up sheet for Greeters and Lay Readers for the month of January.  This is a rewarding way to serve the church.

Mission giving on December 23rd was: $80 for the budget, $10 for the RMMO (total $813), and 75 cents for Pennies for Milly's Pantry.

*Everyone for making it possible for so many groups in the community to have a meeting place: Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Community Chorus, Keuka Quilters, YC Summer Concerts, Backpack Program, ARC Worship Service, Food for the Needy, Home School Group, Wellspring Youth Bible Quiz Team, Wellspring Fellowship, Friendship Square Dance Group, Lenten Luncheons. While some groups do support us financially; some are non-profits who cannot.

 

*Those who helped to make the Christmas Eve service special;

choir members & director, lay reader, greeters, ushers, organist and pastor.

 

*Those who volunteered their time and rang the bell at Tops Supermarket for the Christmas for the Needy program.

 

*Jack Clancy for serving as the FBC News Reporter for the last 6 months.

 

*To the person who will volunteer to serve as the FBC News Reporter beginning in January.

 

*Those who give their time and talents in the church serving as lay readers, greeters, committee members, committee chairpersons and secretaries, those who help clean, those who donate supplies, mow the lawn, plant flowers, spruce up the property, perform maintenance tasks, those who care for the financial business, serve in the library and nursery, and Sunday School teachers.
