Movie today

At  11:15 am in the library there will be a showing of the movie “Gaslands” which addresses the issues of natural gas drilling in Pennsyvania and other areas. The producer is a Pennsyvanian with experience in the process known as hydrofracking that is used in drilling for shale gas.

 

Flowers for the Sanctuary

Every Christmas season we are invited to bring in a poinsettia to adorn the sanctuary. You may bring them in at any time. For those who wish to do so in honor or in memory of a loved one, you are invited to fill out a form listing the names of those involved and they will be published in the Christmas Eve bulletin. Forms may be found on the table at the rear of the sanctuary and in the office.

Everyone is invited to a wedding shower for Tom & Katy Tharp on Sunday, December 26 at 2 pm in the Great Room.

 

January Newsletter and Annual Reports

Keep in mind that your articles for the newsletter will be due next Monday, Dec. 20. Also, it's time to think about the Annual Reports. Boards and Committees, your reports should be into the office by the end of the year. If you need an extension of time, please call Peggy in the office at 536-9821

 

Can You Help?

Cristine Conklin is in need of a ride to a doctor's appointment to the Dundee Family Health Clinic on Monday, Dec. 20, at 9:45am. Call Cristine at 536-0415.

Kidz Club

Anyone interested in helping with Kidz Club on December 17, donations of any craft supplies would be appreciated for use with future Kidz club projects. Stewardship Campaign

As of Sunday, November 28, twenty pledges had been turned in.

Their total puts us only about 1/3 of the way towards the goal of our proposed local and mission budgets for 2011.

Please turn in your pledge sheets as soon as possible.

There are extra pledge sheets available on the table at the rear of the sanctuary.

Community  News

 

Jail Ministry

Is in need of devotional materials that can be distributed to the inmates at the county jail. If you have any leftover devotional booklets (such as Secret Place) and would you be willing to share them with these inmates, they may be left in the church office. This will be an ongoing ministry, so any contributions now or in the future will be greatly appreciated.

 

Red Cross Needs & Things

There is a  need for: diapers; size 3,4,5,6, paper towels, laundry soap and dish soap. Look for the “Red Cross” box in the office

 

Food Pantry

There is always a need for breakfast cereals and boxed macaroni and cheese. Anything you can do to help is very much appreciated!!

 

Office for the Aging Sunday Bus Riders

You are asked to contact Mickie Christiansen at 536-6345 if you wish to remain on the riders list.
