ABW and Church News
The ABW has been requested for our White Cross Ministries to purchase sweatshirts and sweat pants for Cameron Community Ministries in Rochester. Any contributions from the congregation would be greatly appreciated either through monetary donations or purchase of these items:

Sweatshirts and sweat pants, 5 each for girls, boys, men and women
Sizes small to x-large.
Walmart sells them for about $5.00 each.

Use the form below (or call the church office at 536-9821) to make your wishes known of your loved ones you would like your plant to be placed in memory or in honor. On Christmas Eve we will print the list in the bulletin. Please mark your plant for easy retrieval after the Christmas Eve service.

Our Church's Mission

Mission Around the World - Costa Rica
Ingrid Rolan-Roman works together with the staff at the Federation of Baptist Associations of Costa Rica and at Baptist Theological Center of the Caribbean in Limon, Costa Rica. She works on both sides of the border of Panama with Costa Rica on the Caribbean side. Ingrid directs and is a professor at the Panamanian Baptist Theological Center she directs a tutoring program for elementary and high school students who have fallen behind in their studies and this is held at Ingrid’s house which also serves as the main location of the Center. She serves as a missionary resource carrying out pastoral duties at the Iglesia Bautista La Gran Comision in Sixaola, Limon, Costa Rica.

Mission Giving
Thank you for your Mission giving for November 22nd and 29th. We received $183 for our budgeted needs. You also gave another $20 for World Mission Offering, making the total $1485 (or $346 over our goal) and $184 for the Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering (toward our goal of $999).

A Reminder: Pennies for the Backpack Program should be brought in by December 20th. Thank you.

Community Chorus Christmas Concert - Today - Sunday, December 6
First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 2:00 pm
In celebration of their 40th anniversary the Penn Yan Community Chorus will perform works that reflect their history, including parts of the John Rutter Magnificat, Britten A Ceremony of Carols and Handel’s Messiah.

New Single’s Ministry - Starts Friday, December 18
A new Single’s Ministry is starting for people aged 45 and up. There will be a game night on Friday, December 18th from 7-9 pm at the Penn Yan UMC Fellowship Hall. Bring a favorite game to play and a favorite snack to share.

Christmas Cookie Walk - Saturday, December 19
at the First Presbyterian Church, on December 19th at 10 am
Sold by the pound. Come early, as they sell out fast.
