Because of the generosity of Dawn, Elaine, and Kathy (the caterers who wouldn't take any money for their work) and you who gave, and worked on packing the boxes, setting the tables, serving and cleaning up we have $250 to give to the Deacon's Fund to help with the needs of the community.

Every Sunday is Stewardship Sunday
Most Americans associate the month of November with Thanksgiving. In American Baptist Churches,we also think of November as a time to express our thankfulness to God for his many gifts to us. We do this as generous disciples by promising to return a portion of our financial resources to God through the ministry of our local churches. In many churches, this giving is celebrated on “Stewardship Sunday,” usually the second Sunday of the month.
In reality, every Sunday is Stewardship Sunday! As disciples of Jesus, we are aware that everything comes to us as a gracious provision of God's love. Every moment of each day and every breath we take is granted to us by God, and we are called to be stewards (or careful and wise managers) of all – including the time we have to live on this earth. Every day belongs to God, including the Sundays, so every Sunday reminds us that we are called to be good stewards of our time and all of the gifts from God which we enjoy.
Red Cross Needs & Things
Currently they are in need of: diapers; size 3,4,5,6, paper towels, laundry soap and dish soap. Look for the “Red Cross” box.
For the month of November the Food Pantry is asking for breakfast cereals and boxed macaroni and cheese. Anything you can do to help is very much appreciated!!
Office for the Aging Sunday Bus Riders
You are asked to contact Mickie Christiansen at 536-6345 if you wish to remain on the riders list.
Oak Hill Bulk Foods will be the collection point for your egg cartons. You may drop them off at their store on Route 14A.
Welcome to First Baptist Church of Penn Yan. We are glad you joined us and hope you’ll feel at home, as we celebrate our faith and praise God together. In the pew in front of you, you will find a “get-to-know-you” card. Please take a moment to fill it out and place it in the offering plate.
We invite you to bring your children to the nursery during the service for a safe and Christian environment so that you may more fully experience Worship. Following today’s service please come to enjoy coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Great Room.
