Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service - Today @ 3 pm

The Penn Yan Council of Churches invites you to join in a

Service of Thanksgiving at St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Rev. Marilyn Wood, Pastor at Dresden UMC will deliver the message, there will be an ecumenical choir and an offering will be collected that will benefit our local food pantry.


Come Help Decorate the Sanctuary - Saturday, December 4

Everyone is invited to join this festive event! Bring a morning snack to share: coffee cake, cider, donuts, juice, bagels & cream cheese. We will start at 9:30 am. See You Here!!!

December Kid's Club !

Under the guidance of Eileen Modafarri there will be a Kid's Club Christmas Activity Night on December 17, that will be open to kids in grades K-5. The plan is to hold this from 6-8 pm and with the help of volunteers the children will be served a simple meal and have some craft time.  If you would like to volunteer your time to help that evening or if you would like to help in another way we need: pre-baked cut-out cookies to decorate, and some small unisex pre-wrapped gifts or you may give a monetary donation. If you need more information call Eileen at


Ladies: Let's Go Out to Lunch

The Mary & Martha Circle will be going out to lunch to the Antique Inn for their December meeting. We are inviting ALL ladies of the church to go with us. Our date is Tuesday, December 14. Please call Erma Mullins at 536-8730 to make your reservations.


Poinsettias for the Sanctuary

 It's a tradition that every Christmas Season we adorn the sanctuary with  poinsettias. If you would like to place a plant in the sanctuary for the Christmas Season in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone, please fill out the portion below and put it in the offering plate or you may leave it in the church office. Bring your plant to the church anytime after December 4.

Red Cross Needs & Things

Currently they are in need of: diapers; size 3,4,5,6, paper towels, laundry soap and dish soap. Look for the “Red Cross” box.


Food Pantry

For the month of November the Food Pantry is asking for breakfast cereals and boxed macaroni and cheese. Anything you can do to help is very much appreciated!!

Egg Cartons

Oak Hill Bulk Foods will be the collection point for your egg cartons. You may drop them off at their store on Route 14A.
