Thanksgiving Basket Campaign
Today we will pack boxes of food for needy families in Yates County. We certainly appreciate your help in making this happen with both your monetary donation and your time! We will start right after coffee hour, hope to see you in the Great Room.
FBC Membership
If you are interested in becoming a member of First Baptist Church please speak with Rev. Foody or one of the Deacons.
Board of Missions
The Board of Mission reports that $197.20 was received on November 13th. The average receipts for the first two Sundays in November was $392. Our budgeted obligations by the end of December total $4110. If we want to start next year with a minimum balance of $500, we must receive an average of $405 or more per week over the next six weeks. This amount included support for American Baptist related institutions in New York State. Please be generous and do your part to help us meet this goal.
Calling All Knitters and Crocheters
We are collecting 6X6” squares knitted or crocheted in any color, style or pattern to make a quilt. The quilt will be given to someone in our congregation or our community who is in need of an extra “hug”. This is a great way to use up those extra odds and ends of yarn while ministering to others. There will be 2 drop off boxes for the squares: one on the desk by the Great Room entrance and one on the table in the back of the sanctuary. Thank you in advance for your help – let's get those needles clicking!! Questions call Pam Scutt at 536-2791.
Card Shower
We are enlisting the help of everyone to send a card shower to Marge Moulton. Marge's birthday is December 1, this year she will turn 90, and every year she is away over her birthday and the holidays at her son's home in Indianapolis. If you would like to be a part of this you may send your cards to: Marge Moulton c/o John Moulton, 1778 Crabtree Court, Terra Haute, IN 47803.
