Service – tonight at 7 p.m.
The Penn
Yan Area Council of Churches invites you to celebrate as a community of faith
at the annual Community Service of Thanksgiving on tonight at 7 p.m., at the
First Presbyterian Church of Penn Yan. There will be praise music from an
ecumenical choir and a special offering will be received for “Food for the
Needy.” The Rev. Barbara Gifford, pastor of the Branchport and Italy Valley
United Methodist Churches will bring the Thanksgiving message. Please join with
others from our faith community, as we give thanks for all of God’s blessings
in our lives.

Decorating
of the Sanctuary
Come one
and all to help decorate the sanctuary for the Christmas Season on Saturday,
December 8, at 9 a.m. The more help we have the better – many hands make light
work!
(Rumor has
it there will be doughnuts!)
Needed
Paper
goods (paper plates, cups and napkins) are needed for the kitchen. If you have
extras leftover from your summer picnic-ing they will be gladly accepted.
2008
Calendars on Sale Now!
The Youth
Group and the Board of Christian Education are selling 2008 Calendars to raise
money for next years camping program. These beautiful calendars are titled,
“God’s Creation” and have inspirational pictures and Bible verse and are
selling for $12. Please help support our youth! See Greg Marion, Barbara Burke,
a Christian Ed. member or stop by the office during business hours.
