Values & Mission Statement of Friendship House, Billings, MT

“We believe in the primacy of loving God and loving people. We are accountable for the lives we live; integrity and transparency will saturate everything we do. Meaningful relationships are the most effective means of permanent, substantial transformation in ourselves and the families we are serving. A safe, healthy and responsible community is only possible with safe, healthy, and responsible families. Selfless, humble service to others- rooted in equality- is how we work and what we teach. We understand that stewardship of our resources – time, talents, and money is an integral part in serving the community well.”

On Sunday, Nov. 17th at 5 pm the first Worship Service will be held for the community.

The Penn Yan Area Council of Churches

American Education Week  November 18 – 22

On November 4th, Mayor Bob Church read a proclamation urging citizens to commit to and support education at all levels. The mayor is requesting the community to wear their school colors on Friday, November 22 to honor this event. Seeing people, young and old, all around town that day in school colors would be a great way to recognize our local educators.

Living Well

The facility which took over after the closing of the Red Cross office  has been busy. There is emergency food available, counseling, resource information, and a community worship service on Sundays at 5 pm. Volunteers and donations of dry goods, laundry detergent, food etc are always welcome. In October they served 160 families and they expect that number will increase over the winter months. Look for the article in the December Newsletter for more information.
