Finger Lakes Association Annual Meeting - Today
At the Clifton Springs Baptist Church. Registration begins at 2:30 pm, devotions at 2:45, meeting at 3 pm. There will be a dish to pass supper at 5 pm. Don & Kathie Lawrence will drive, leaving from the church parking lot at 2 pm.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets - Sunday, November 21
In our commitment to serve those less fortunate, we will again be packing boxes of Thanksgiving foods for about 50 families. In order to do this we need your help. So that each basket will be equal, we are asking for monetary donations to buy the food. Each basket cost approximatley $26. Anything you can give will be appreciated. Please put your donation in your Deacon's Fund envelope and mark it for “Thanksgiving Baskets”.
Next Week is Homecoming Sunday !!!
This is an event we don't want you to miss! Everyone is such an important part of this church family and the day wouldn't be complete without YOU. Please plan to join us. The schedule is as follows: Worship Service at 10 AM: “Counting Our Blessings”,
Fill Thanksgiving Baskets at 11 AM; Appetizers at 11:30 AM; Homecoming Dinner at 12 Noon.

Office for the Aging Sunday Bus Riders
You are asked to contact Mickie Christiansen at 536-6345 if you wish to remain on the riders list.
Treasurer, Asst. Treasurer and Bookkeeping
The Board of Trustees is considering hiring a bookkeeper to handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts and will also have to appoint a treasurer and asst. treasurer to sign checks, reconcile accounts and oversee bookkeeping.
Steeple Roof Repair
Bids have been received to repair the steeple roof. More information to follow as it becomes available.
If you haven't submitted your pledge card, please do so as soon as possible. This next year will be challenging. There are additional pledge forms on the tables at the rear of the sanctuary and in the foyer.
Ringing the Bell for Christmas for the Needy - Friday, November 19
It's that time of the year again! Time to ring the bell to raise awareness and monies for the Christmas for the Needy Program. Each church takes a turn and our turn is this Friday, November 19, from 9 am to 4 pm in front of TOPS Supermarket in Penn Yan. Usually, each person or team, will ring for 1 hour and then be relieved by the next shift. There is a clipboard in the foyer for you to sign up. This is a fun and festive activity!!!
Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service - Sunday, November 21 @ 3 pm
The Penn Yan Council of Churches invites you to join in a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Rev. Marilyn Wood, Pastor at Dresden UMC will deliver the message, there will be an ecumenical choir and an offering will be collected that will benefit our local food pantry.
Red Cross Needs & Things
Currently they are in need of: diapers; size 3,4,5,6, paper towels, laundry soap and dish soap. Look for the “Red Cross” box.
For the month of November the Food Pantry is asking for breakfast cereals and boxed macaroni and cheese. Anything you can do to help is very much appreciated!!
