Homecoming Sunday

November 21, 2010

To make it a special day at our church, we are asking all of our church family to please be here.

 

The day will begin at 10:00 A.M.  with a  “Counting Our Blessings” worship Service.

Following the service  we will meet in the Great Room

for Appetizers at 11:30 and  Dinner at Noon.

Join the family of Margaret Drakely as they host a gathering of friends and family to wish Margaret a happy 96th birthday. Gather in the Great Room from 1-3 pm for cake and refreshments.

 

Thanksgiving Food Baskets

Sunday, November 21

In our commitment to serve those less fortunate, we will again be packing boxes of Thanksgiving foods for about 50 families. In order to do this we need your help. So that each basket will be equal, we are asking for monetary donations to buy the food. Each basket cost approximatley $26. Anything you can give will be appreciated. Please put your donation in your Deacon's Fund envelope and mark it for “Thanksgiving Baskets”.

 

The World Mission Offering

total to date is $1,042 – just $108 short of the goal of $1,150. You can still help us reach our goal.

Pancake Supper

Thursday, Nov. 11

Keuka College students will be holding a Pancake Supper to raise monies to send care packages overseas to our service men & women. It will be held at St. Michael's dining hall from 5-7 pm.

 

Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service

Sunday, November 21 @ 3 pm

The Penn Yan Council of Churches invites you to join in a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Rev. Marilyn Wood, Pastor at Dresden UMC will deliver the message, there will be an ecumenical choir and an offering will be collected that will benefit our local food pantry.

 

Red Cross Needs & Things

Currently they are in need of: diapers; size 3,4,5,6, paper towels, laundry soap and dish soap. Look for the “Red Cross” box.

 

Food Pantry

For the month of November the Food Pantry is asking for breakfast cereals and boxed macaroni and cheese. Anything you can do to help is very much appreciated!!
