Search Committee - Thursday, October 28

Reminder that there will be a meeting of the Search Committee in the Library at 7 pm.

 

Small Group Study

“The Miracle of Life Change” is a new small group study of Ephesians 4. The group will meet on Wednesday nights beginning this week, Oct. 27, at 7 pm in the library and is open to both men women. Each meeting will open with a short dvd message from Chip Ingram followed by a group discussion and study sheets. This is a 10 week study and we will continue until we feel we need to stop for the Christmas time.

Nominating Committee

All Boards need to have the names for the nominating committee in to George Jensen by November 1.  His number is 536-4745.

 

Turkey Walk - Sunday, November 7

The Penn Yan Council of Churches  is preparing for the annual Turkey Walk. All monies raised will go towards purchasing meat for Chrismas Baskets for the Needy. We are looking for people to walk the route and those who would sponsor those who walk. Sign up sheets are available in the office or see Erma Mullins for questions/information.

 

Community  News

 

Red Cross Needs & Things

The Red Cross attempts to meet the hygiene needs of those who are unable to provide for themselves. Currently, they are in need of: diapers; size 3,4,5,6, paper towels, laundry soap and dish soap.

A box is available in the sanctuary, look for the “Red Cross”

 

Can You Help?

Penn Yan Council of Churches is searching for volunteers to help out with the Food Pantry here at FBC. If you are available an hour a week or an hour a month and are interested in serving in this capacity, see Erma Mullins our Council Representative.

You are invited to Phyllis Granger's Ordination Service on Saturday, October 30, 2010, 2 pm at First Baptist Church 134 North Main Street, Geneva.
