Mission Report - Thank you for the $47 that was contributed for our Mission Budget on September 21st. We are still in need of $300 to keep pace with our budgeted obligations for this month Mission Board - There will be a meeting of the Mission Board on Thursday, October 2, at 10 am in the library. Mission Nugget - A Focus Mediation on the ABC/NYS biennial October 3-4, 2014 Theme: “Incline”: We’re on the INCLINE. Sometime the walk is hard, but we face forward. Sometimes we get tired, but always moving upward. Sometimes we lean, but always on Jesus. We’re on the INCLINE in Jesus’ name”. Leader: We’re on the INCLINE People: We’re pressing on the upward way. Leader: We’re on the INCLINE People: Moving forward every day. Leader: We’re on the INCLINE People: Heading in a new direction. Leader: We’re on the INCLINE People: Leaning on the Spirit’s inspiration. Leader: Lord, lift us up and let us STAND People: Plant our feet on higher land. A Prayer for the ABC/NYS Biennial – October 3-4 in Utica, NY - We pray this morning for all the American Baptist Churches in our Region, and not just our own. In Christ, we are no longer strangers and aliens to you, O God. We are members of the household of God. Our witness and ministry with other churches is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus is our cornerstone. We pray for our Regional leadership and the building up of churches. We pray for the gathering of Baptists in Utica in October. May it be a time to grow, move, and be built up together. Community Café - Free meal open to the community at PY United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 30, from 5 – 7:30 pm. Small Groups, Bible/Book Studies - The Penn Yan Area Council of Churches has compiled a brochure of the various opportunities to gather that are open to all. Regardless of the church you worship at you are invited to take part in any of the offerings. See the beige brochure on the Reader’s Table.
