Keuka College Carnival - August 29
Once again Keuka College will hold a carnival-type event at the start of the fall semester on Saturday, September 5th that will give area churches a chance to connect with students. Churches are encouraged to have games and treats to draw the students in and give an opportunity to share information. We need 2 or 3 people to help out. See Pastor Steve if you would like to be a part of this

Watch for “Back to School” Sales
We are preparing for the CWS School Kits drive which takes place in September. We hope to put together 25 school bags (which Diane DeLooza is sewing). If you want to get a start on your shopping, here is a list of items that will go into each kit.

- One box of 24 crayons
- Six new pencils w/erasers (do not sharpen)
- One large eraser
- One hand-held pencil sharpener
- One 30 centimeter ruler (12 inch)
- Three 70 page count spiral notebook (no loose-leaf paper)
- One pair of blunt (round tip) metal scissors

Mission Giving
Thank you for your Mission Budget contributions on August 9th of $144. Another $200 this month will enable us to pay our donation to Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School to support scholarships to future pastors and church leaders.

Something New – starting August 25th
worship services in the style of Taize’ will take place the last Tuesdays of the month at 6:45 pm, following the Community Café at the PYUMC. Come for some time in quiet and prayer and music. A free will offering will go entirely to Milly’s Pantry to support their backpack ministry. Offered by PYUMC and Cobblestone Springs Retreat Center.
