Keuka College Carnival - August 29
Once again Keuka College will hold a carnival-type event at the start of the fall semester on Saturday, September 5th that will give area churches a chance to connect with students interested in attending church services. Churches are encouraged to have games and treats to draw the students in and give an opportunity to hand out information. There will be a live band providing music. We need 2 or 3 people to help out. Mission Around the World - Bulgaria
Terry and Tom Myers help the Baptist Union of Bulgaria give holistic expression of the gospel. Tom works primarily in development and in job and small business creation, using these as a means to address the issues of poverty and trafficking. He is also involved in a business-as-mission project, which will support the ministry outreaches of Sofia Baptist Church, build connections with ministries working in community development around the world and provide a place for job training. Terry’s work includes managing a literacy program with Roma children, working with victims of human trafficking, coordinating the Union’s partnership with American Baptist International Ministries and providing support to short-term mission teams. Tom and Terry have also become involved in a growing ministry to refugees entering Bulgaria and are assisting local churches in exploring ways they can become more involved. Languages used in ministry: Bulgarian
