Food for the Needy

Don't forget the needs of these programs over the summer. Families continue to be helped out when they can't make ends meet. Donations of non perishable items are always in demand, especially over the summer when the children don't have their free or reduced price breakfasts and lunches at school. Thank You!!!

Backpack Program

In full swing for the summer to help keep hungry Yates Co. kids fed. If they qualified for free breakfast/lunches during the school year, there's a good chance they are going hungry over the summer while school is not in session. Donations of breakfast/granola bars, cereal, instant oatmeal, mac & cheese, fruit cups, tuna etc and help packing on Wednesdays at 4 pm are greatly appreciated.

The Yates Co. Office for the Aging is in Need of Volunteers

Home Delivered Meal Drivers to deliver meals to home bound seniors. Mileage is paid and training is provided. If you would prefer not to use your own vehicle we do have an agency vehicle.

Phone Friends: these volunteers make brief, friendly phone calls to home bound seniors to provide support and to enhance social contact. Call Stephanie Bates at 536-5515 if interested in serving.

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Penn Yan. We are glad you joined us and hope you’ll feel at home, as we celebrate our faith and praise God together. In the pew in front of you, you will find a “get-to-know-you” card. Please take a moment to fill it out and place it in the offering plate.

We invite you to bring your children to the nursery during the service for a safe and Christian environment so that you may more fully experience Worship. Following today’s service please come to enjoy coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Great Room.

If you're missing joy and peace

you are not trusting God.
