Our Church's Mission

Mission Around the World ~ Thailand ~
Jeni Pedzinski has been appointed to serve on the leadership team at the New Life Center Foundation (NLCF) in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Established in 1987, the New Life Center serves young ethnic minority (tribal) women who are at risk for, or survivors of, human trafficking, forced labor and sexual abuse. NLCF residents are provided with shelter, education, vocational and life skills training and legal assistance. Special therapeutic activities for survivors include comprehensive art, dance, and music therapy and individual counseling. With degrees in development and Christian theology, Jeni will provide administrative support, Christian discipleship and financial literacy training to NLCF staff and program beneficiaries. In partnership with the NLCF’s senior staff, she will write grants, oversee the monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes and assist with public relations. Language used in ministry: Thai

Community News and Events

Community Café - Tuesday, July 26
Everyone is welcome to the famous annual cookout. Tuesday, July 26th. Free and open to the community. Always the last Tuesday of every month.

Christmas in July - Saturday, July 30th
Ecumenical Worship Service, Saturday, July 30th at Noon on the Courthouse Lawn. Bring a chair or blanket. Free hot dogs and cupcakes following worship. Sponsored by the Penn Yan Area Council of Churches. Come, celebrate the birth of Christ!

Cancer Support Program
The Living Well will be providing a ministry of Cancer Support to people living in Yates Co. They want to pull together a core group of volunteers to outline and to be a part of this ministry going forward. If you would like to volunteer and you have a passion about helping others who are going through a cancer situation there will be an organizational meeting on Thursday, August 4th at 4 pm at The Well.
