seems possible that Vacation Bible School 2008 is just one week away! Soon the
building will be filled with the sounds of singing, laughter, and happy voices.
We can’t make this happen without you though. Can you help out with any of

Help is wanted in the church office to
cover while
Peggy is on vacation to answer the phone
and greet
visitors. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon. Days
that need
coverage are:
Tuesdays – July 22 & 29; Thursdays-July 24 & 31; and Fridays-July25
& Aug. 1. Call the office if you can help. Perks include: coffee, visitors,
and air conditioning! (Thanks go out to Erma Mullins for covering the Mondays
and Kathie Lawrence for covering the Wednesdays).

Air Fund
The Fresh Air Fund
sends city children to visit volunteer host families in 13 Northeastern states
every summer. Last summer the Penn Yan area was host to four children. Become a
host family today! Call Shelly at 585-259-2959. More information can be found

Stewart of Alaska are proud to announce the birth of their first child. Cameron
Lee Stewart was born on June 6, weighing 9 lbs, 8 oz. Mom, dad and baby are all
doing fine! The proud Grandmother is Cheryl Stewart and the very proud
Great-Grandmother is Fran Morse.

Mission Trip
The next meeting for
those interested in attending this years mission trip will be on Tuesday, July
15 at 7 p.m. This date will be the last chance for sign-ups. $300 is needed at
this date to purchase airline tickets in order to get a lowest possible rate.

Love Lungs Benefit
Sunday, June 29 @ 2 p.m @
The Fireman’s Field
The local
band Durow, with members David Herold, Chris Fuqua, and Ron McQuaid, are
putting on a show to benefit Brad Stewart. Brad recently had a double lung
transplant and while his body has accepted his new lungs, the group would like
to do all they can to help with the cost that comes with surgery such as this.
100% of monies raised will go to Brad. Genres include: punk, acoustic,
electronica, gospel, blues, funk, metal and rock. Cost of admission is $3.
Other bands participating are: Cloaned, Alchemy, Chris & Shaun Jones, Tim
Dyer, Our Father’s Children and more.
Rushville Health Center
people helping people
The
Rushville Health Center serves the surrounding communities by providing health
services to low income and immigrant families.
Our
project this year in Vacation Bible School will be to collect first aid and
dental hygiene items that these children and families can use. Check over the
list below and drop off your donations to the office or during the VBS week of
June 30 – July 3.
