Yates County Summer Concert Series - Wednesday, June 24
Concerts on the Yates County Courthouse Lawn begin this Wednesday, June 24th. This week - Crooked Lake Fiddlers! Once again the Board of Trustees will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, cold beverages and chips before the concerts from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. This is a good fund raiser for the church and we would appreciate your help. See a Trustee for more information on how you can help.

Purchase a Paver
Small donations are still being accepted for the brick at the Penn Yan Public Library “Purchase a Paver” fundraiser. The brick to be engraved with First Baptist Church name, (along with others) will be a physical presence visible to the community to show support of the library.

Yard Sale items needed
Get Your Spring Cleaning done before Summer! The annual FBC Yard Sale will take place July 24-26th and we are ready to receive your donations of furniture, small appliances, kitchen and home décor items, infant/toddler clothing and toys. No adult clothing please. Bring your items to the church basement at any time. If you are unable to transport your items, please contact a member of the Men’s Group for assistance. Help will be needed at the time of the sale.

For Sale
Anyone interested in the purchase of the pews that were removed from the sanctuary please see a member of the Trustees. If they don’t sell they will be offered for sale at the Yard Sale in July.

Please remember to visit our friends/members in the Nursing Homes.
They are lonely, need love and need to know that they are not forgotten people.

Our Church's Mission

Mission Nugget - Mission Around the World – Hungary

Larry and Becky Stanton are currently serving with International Ministry partners Hungarian Baptist Aid and the Baptist Union of Hungary. They work with schools in the eastern region of the country: primary and elementary community schools in Te’glas’ and a technical high school in Debrecen. The Stantons provide the students and staff with instruction and conversation practice in English and maintenance support. In addition to classroom responsibilities, Larry and Becky participate in school activities and are involved in Christian outreach. Their three daughters attend schools. Learning Hungarian and also teaching English as only children can.
