O Lord, It is because of the grandness of your creation that we experience the feeling of awe. We want to live with excitement for each day. We want to fly on Eagle's Wings. We want to be like Jesus. Bless us as in His name we offer the prayer He taught us...

Can You Help?
We have a need for garden tools. Hand Trimmer, Hand/Long Hoe, Wheel Barrel. They would be greatly appreciated.
Just a reminder that we will again be sharing in worship services with First Presbyterian Church. July services will be held at First Presbyterian and August services will be held here at FBC. Rev. Paul Malles and Rev. Garth Brokaw, our summer interim minister, will share in leading worship. Service time will be 10 am.
Pastor John will be making a trip to the Utica Refugee Mission on Tuesday, June 15. Any donations should be brought to the church by Monday, June 14. Clothing/household items in good condition needed.
Can You Help?
Anyone willing to provide food for the sandwiches for the American Baptist Men's Conference on Friday, August 13, please speak with Kathie Lawrence after church today. Thank You.
Keep In Touch
If you would like to send a card to Tom Tharp as he conducts his summer seminary internship you may write him in care of:
Peoria First Baptist Church, 411 West Lake Ave, Peoria, IL 61614-6093
Please Take Note: In an effort to create more space in the shed in the church parking lot we will be removing a number of items. These include a chest of drawers and a large number of boxes containing Christmas decorations, faux fur and other materials for making stuffed animals. Any of these items should be removed by the owners.
After June 15, we intend to donate them to the Once Again Shoppe.
~Bd. Of Christian Education
The Trustees considered the Advisory's Council's request to pause before accepting the gift of the second shed. After much discussion, it was determined that the Food for the Needy program has grown so much and needs additional storage space. They cannot store food outside in the shed, so they would like to use the basement kitchen space. Therefore, the Trustees agreed to accept the 8X12 shed, possibly losing up to 1 parking space, to store the Community Chorus risers.
Father's Day Picnic
Get out your best recipes and join us for a Dish-to-Pass indoor picnic next Sunday. A “Pot-Luck Picnic” will be held in the Great Room following worship service. The Deacon's will provide the refreshments. (We have a special request for Deviled Eggs).
Once Pastor John has retired and until we secure an interim minister, Greg Marion as agreed to take calls for pastoral needs. Make a note of his number in the event you should need to contact him. 536-6771.
Building for Today & Tomorrow Mortgage
Phase II/Year 4
One of the privileges of being a Christian is to be able to dedicate what we have to God. We are blessed in so many ways – all we have to do is look around ourselves to see those blessings and ALSO “look up” to see where they've come from.
Many of you are aware of the mortgage for the Jessup Christian Education wing and that we still have approximately $93,000 yet to pay off. In accordance with our plan to work on this current mortgage in phases we are beginning our pledge drive for Phase II/Year 4 this month with a goal of $30,000 to cover one more year's mortgage payments. You are being asked to prayerfully consider an extra donation/pledge for the calendar year of July 2010 to June 2011 at this time to help us keep up with our mortgage payments.
To date we have contributions from many members who pledge to our BT&T mortgage during the regular calendar year from January to December 2010 and they've set the foundation for us. We graciously thank those members for setting such a wonderful example for us AND NOW IT'S OUR TURN. You may make a weekly or monthly pledge or donate one lump sum – whichever you feel God's calling to you. Please fill out the pledge sheet below and return it in the weekly offering or to the church office by June 27, 2010. We thank you in advance for your prayerful consideration in the future of the First Baptist Church of Penn Yan.
With gratitude to God and as an expression of my personal commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church, it is my intention to pledge the following amount toward our
“Building for Today and Tomorrow/Phase II 2010-2011” Fund.
