Welcome & Announcements
*Hymn “God of the Ages” No. 262
Eternal God, Father of our spirits: We rejoice in all who have faithfully lived and triumphantly died. We give Thee thanks for all the blessed memories and all enduring hopes; for the ties that bind us to the unseen world; for all the heroic dead who encompass us like a cloud of witnesses. We pray that we who have entered into the heritage of their heroism and self sacrifice may so honor their memory and so preserve and further their high purposes, that the nation which they defended may stand in all coming years for righteousness and peace, through Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours. Amen.

Building for Today & Tomorrow
One of the privileges of being a Christian is to be able to dedicate what we have to God. We are blessed in so many ways – all we have to do is look around ourselves to see those blessings and look up to see where they come from.
Many of you are aware of the mortgage for the Jessup Christian Education Wing. We are down to only $68,000 yet to pay off. In accordance with our plan to work on this current mortgage in phases, we are beginning our pledge drive for Phase III/year 1 in June 2011. With the recent reduction to the monthly payment our goal this year will be $11,000 to cover one more year's mortgage payment.
Some of us have chosen to make our pledge from July – June during recent campaigns. You are being asked to prayerfully consider an extra donation/pledge for the pledge drive year of July 2011 – June 2012 at this time to help us keep up with our mortgage payments.
To date we have contributions from many members who pledge to our BT&T mortgage during the regular calendar year from
January - December 2011 and they've set the foundation for us. We graciously thank those members for setting such a wonderful example for us and now it's our turn. You may make a weekly or monthly pledge or donate one lump sum – whichever you feel God's calling to you. Please fill out a copy of the pledge sheet below and return it in the weekly offering or to the church office by June 26, 2011. We thank you in advance for your prayerful consideration in the future of First Baptist Church of Penn Yan.
