Our Church's Mission

Mission Around the World ~ Honduras ~
Dagoberto and Dilia Zelaya are Associate Missionaries appointed by International Ministries in partnership with the First Baptist Church of Marshalltown, Iowa. They are responsible for developing and supervising the Ministries of Faith and New Life in Azacualpa, Honduras. This ministry is home to sixteen children, providing for all their basic needs – food, education, health, and spiritual. Besides this ministry, the Zelayas have also launched the Escuela Cristiana Vida Nueva (Christian School of New Life), a bilingual school that includes a classroom for students with special needs. They also have a feeding program that provides a meal five days a week to approximately 50 children in need, and a soccer program dedicated to teenagers from the community. Language used in ministry: Spanish.

Mission Giving

Thank you for your Mission contributions on May 15th. The $390.50 given for the budget makes it possible for us to send $250 for Camp Scholarships at Vick and Pathfinder. The additional $30 for Blankets bring the total to $255. Today is the last day to turn in “Backpack Pennies” for the Spring Collection.
