Relay for Life: Luminary Sundays - May 18 & 25
The Footprints Team will once again participate in the Relay for Life, a 12 hour fundraising event which raises money for the American Cancer Society. To purchase a luminary ($5 each) in honor or in memory of someone whose life has been touched by cancer, we will be selling them following worship on May 18 and 25th in the Great Room. On the night of the Relay, these bags are lit and placed around the track where they remain burning throughout the night… their light in the darkness is symbolic of our hope for a cure. Your support is greatly appreciated. See Pam Scutt for questions. The Relay for Life will take place on June 7 and 8th,

Remember our Deficit Reduction effort July 5 – 6th. We are accepting: furniture, small appliances, kitchen/home décor, infant/toddler clothing (no adult clothing please). You may bring your items to the church at any time. If you are unable to transport your items, contact a member of the Men’s Group for assistance. Choir Recognition Day - Sunday, June 8 –
Join us in celebrating our choir for their dedication, service, time and talents! Following worship service on Sunday, June 8th we will have a luncheon in the Great Room honoring our choir members. Serving a cold meat platter, salads, beverages (and of course), cake. Please plan to attend, no need to bring a thing, just your gratitude.

Cameron Community Ministries serves a free hot meal to the public six days a week, Monday – Saturday.
The Cameron After School Program – offers a safe place to be after school for elementary school children who attend School #54. The primary emphasis is on homework completion, tutoring, and positive behavior and conflict resolution. Children use the Accelerated Reader software to identify and improve their reading level. They also offer snacks, field trips, Arts & Crafts, playtime, exercise, many special events and computer instruction. The program runs Monday through Friday immediately after school until 6:00 pm. At 6 pm the children are offered a meal through Kids Café sponsored by Foodlink. Kids Café participants have reported better grades in school, having more energy while experiencing less fatigue, and even the increased ability to concentrate.
