Our Church's Mission

Mission Nugget - Mission Around the World – Laos and Thailand

Lori and Matt Mann work in Laos, one of the poorest countries in the world. Lori and Matt work with street children, slum children and girls who have been sold or are at high risk of being sold to human traffickers. In order to help protect and restore these children, the Manns are involved in these main interventions: a day time drop-in center for street and slum children; residential care for boys who were brought off the street and for girls who were victims of human trafficking or are at risk of being victims; a scholarship program for children who would otherwise be sent to the city to beg; and raising community awareness about issue such as child abuse, child exploitation, and human trafficking. In Thailand, Matt is also involved in leadership development and rural community development. Languages used: Lao and Thai

Mission Budget Report
Thank you for your Mission contributions on May 3rd of $182. We hope to receive enough this month to cover our $300 contribution to Camp Vick so they will have it to use this summer as well as our $900 United Mission Basics donation.
