ABW Association Spring Rally - Saturday, May 5
All ladies of the church are invited to attend the ABW Spring Rally of the
Finger LakesAssociation to be held here at our church on Saturday, May 5th. There will be a continental breakfast at 8:30 am. Cindy Ovens and Erma Mullins are organizing that. Ask them how you can help. There will be a program of “Psalms and Songs of Praise”, led by Diane DeLooza and Sheryl Robbins. All we need for that is for you to come and help us make a joyful noise! We are the hostesses – let's have a good representation from our local ABW group.
Chicken Barbecue - Saturday, May 5
Relay for Life Team Footprints, will be having a chicken barbecue on Saturday, May 5th, from 11 am until ? at the Lyon's National Bank parking lot. The complete dinner includes: 1/2 chicken, salt potatoes, macaroni salad, coleslaw, roll w/butter, dessert and beverage ALL for $8.50. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Martha Circle- Tuesday, May 8
The ladies of the church are invited to join us for our annual luncheon at the Antique Inn. See Erma Mullins or Marge Cornell if your are interested in joining us.
Blanket Sunday is May 13
Church World Service Blanket program is about providing humanitarian assistance in emergency situations. The cost of a blanket is $5 and our goal is to supply 70 blankets. For every $5 donation that comes in we will add a heart to the blanket that is on display. Let's PUT OUR CARING INTO ACTION AND BLANKET THE WORLD WITH LOVE!
MissionTreasury Income on April 22nd was $217.
Today is the LAST Sunday to turn in your “pennies” for the spring contribution for the Backpack Program at Milly's Pantry. Later contributions will be sent in at the end of the year. The total to date is $108.46. Thank You.

Food for the Needy
Non-perishable foods such as pasta, pasta sauces, peanut butter, cereals, canned vegetables, and fruits are always needed. Thanks to everyone for contributing to this program to help feed the hungry in our area. Helpers are always welcomed. Distributions take place the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6-7 pm and the last Friday of the month from 9 am – noon.
Sends easy to prepare foods home with school age children to keep them fed over the weekends. Foods such as: breakfast/cereal/snack bars, crackers, macaroni & cheese, instant oatmeal, cereals are always needed. Volunteers are always welcomed on Wednesdays at 4 pm to help pack.
