The Church’s Mission

Mission Nugget – NYS Baptist Camps and Camp Vick :

No child is turned away from Camp Vick for lack of funds.

Our church contributes both to the support of the camp and to the Scholarship Fund. Each year the camp grants more in scholarships to families in need than what is received as donations into this fund. “The purpose of our American Baptist New York State Camping Ministries is to provide a safe environment in which to bring people of all ages into a vital, living relationship with Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior. We will do this by introducing people to Jesus and equipping them to grow spiritually and to minister to their world.”

A Prayer for NYS Baptist Camps and Camp Vick

Gracious God, we pray for the ministries of our New York State American Baptist Camps and for those who will lead and attend the camping sessions this summer. May they know your presence in their midst as well as your guidance and protection. May all find this to be both a safe environment and a spiritual one where your love will become deeply felt not just for the camping week but as an enriching experience with will grow into a vital, living relationship with Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Mission Giving:

Mission Income on Easter Sunday was $344 for the Budget and $360 in the Easter Offering. The Easter Offering total is now up to $495, which is $155 short of our budgeted goal of $650. This is an important part of our budget. Thank you for your generosity. Remember that today is the last Sunday for the Spring contribution to the BackPack Program. Any contributions after that will be sent in at the end of the year.

Board of Missions Backpack Spotlight Items:

April item to benefit  Milly’s Backpack Program: Fruit/Pudding/Applesauce Cups

May item: Canned Tuna & Chicken

Thank you very much for your support of this mission! You do make a difference in the lives of our YC Youth!
