Statement of your giving is available

The Financial Secretary has prepared a 2011 Statement of Giving for all of you who contributed regularly to our church. This can be used for your taxes or just your own interest to see how faithful you have been this past year. Contact Diane DeLooza if you are interested in having your own copy.

 

Nursery Ministry

One of the ministries here at First Baptist Church is having a quiet space for the little ones that allows moms and dads to be able to attend worship services. We are setting a new schedule and are looking for volunteers. See Eileen Modaffari if you can help out. 

 

White Cross/ABW

Part of our quota this year includes 4 baby gowns which can either be handmade or purchased and are needed by the end of this month. Contact Pam Scutt at 536-2791 for more info. Thank You!!!

 

Lay Study Class

The Finger Lakes Association is offering a course on Baptist Heritage as part of its Lay Studies program. The course is being taught by Rev. Ed Carey, pastor of FBC Fairport and former Dean of Students at Colgate Rochester. The course will begin on Saturday, February 28, from 8:30–11:30 am at FBC Manchester and will continue through March 10. The course is free to members of the Finger Lakes Assoc. with the application for a scholarship. Late entries accepted. Contact Greg Marion for details.

 

ABWomen Night: Friday, February 24

AB Women, let's get together for a fun evening! We will meet at Cheryl Stewart's home at 3 pm for a craft time and then share a dinner at 6 pm. Beverage and meat will be provided.  Bring a dish to share (let's try to keep them healthy)! Come for part of the evening or all of it!!!

Thank you to those who supported Meghan in raising funds for her band trip to London. Two upcoming concert dates at Mansfield are: February 25 at 7 pm and April 29 at 2 pm.

 

Newsletter deadline

All articles for the March Newsletter should be in to the office by Monday, February 20.

 

Board of Mission

On February 5, $277.10 was received for the Mission Budget towards a need of $1200. Also, thanks to your generosity and that of the community, $651.77 will be given to the Yates County Habitat for Humanity from the Super Sub Sale.

Winter VBS

February 21-24 has been set aside for a Vacation Bible School Adventure at PY United Methodist Church sponsored by PY Council of Churches. The theme will be “Finding God Everywhere”. All churches are asked to help provide breakfast foods and PYFBC has been asked to provide juice. Approximately 15 half gallons will be needed by Sunday, February 19. Donations will be collected in the bright blue box in the foyer. Thank You!
