From the Pulpit Search Committee
Beginning last Sunday, and for the next three Sundays you will be receiving a great deal of information on Baptist beliefs. This is part of our search process. Because we are Baptist and in our faith the local church has autonomy, we need to focus on what our congregation believes and how it may differ from other Baptist congregations. In the second week of February, we will be concluding with a Sunday School class conducted by Mr. Costello, Rev. Burke and the members of the Search Committee. The purpose of this Sunday School session is to give you an opportunity to provide input and discuss our beliefs as Baptists. It is important that you participate in this activity if you have any concerns about what you are to hear in the next four weeks. This exercise is important to our being able to match a new pastor with our congregation.
Thank You.
From the Board of Mission
In order to meet our basic Mission Budget, we had to take in $1,770 in January. To meet the expanded budget, we needed $1,955. We actually received a total of $1,512.40 plus deficit contribution of $504 for a total of $2,016.40. Our current balance is $1,022.36. Thank you for your generosity.

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Penn Yan. We are glad you joined us and hope you’ll feel at home, as we celebrate our faith and praise God together. In the pew in front of you, you will find a “get-to-know-you” card. Please take a moment to fill it out and place it in the offering plate.
We invite you to bring your children to the nursery during the service for a safe and Christian environment so that you may more fully experience Worship. Following today’s service please come to enjoy coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Great Room.
