Nursery Schedule

A new schedule needs to be set. We really need men and women who can volunteer some time in the nursery. See Eileen Modafarri if you can help out. 

 

The Board of Mission

Thanks to your generosity $271.40 was received on January 8, towards the 2012 Mission budget in addition to another $2 for the RMM Offering. Thank You.

 

WAC-We Are Caregivers

A support group for those who are caregivers will meet next Thursday, January 26th at 6 pm in the church library. We will share a meal so please bring a dish-to-share with others!

 

Kidz Klub

will meet on Saturday, January 28, at 6 pm for a game night. We sure could use some help, see Eileen Modafarri.

 

Winter Vacation Bible School

In February (21st - 24th) from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm the Penn Yan Churches are sponsoring a 4 day Vacation Bible School adventure. The theme is helping children “Find God Everywhere”. This is a curriculum from Group publication. The children will go through the day on a rotation schedule. There will be an informational meeting on January 24, at 1 pm at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church.

We need volunteers to: work with children in the classroom (lesson plans provided), music (we will have the CD), drama (there is a skit provided), food (we are serving breakfast, snack and lunch), helpers in all areas, craft people (there are examples and samples included with the kit), registration (all children will be signed in and out). Please call Sandi Perl at 536-2080 for more info or if you are interested but unable to attend the meeting. Thank You.

A Re-MARK-able Study

A supper and study on the Gospel of Mark at St. Mark's Episcopal Church will run on Wednesdays from Jan 18 – Feb. 15 from 5:30 – 7 pm. A $3-4 donation includes supper. To order the book ($14.40), RSVP, or to find out more information call St. Mark's Church at 536-3955.

The January Food Pantry items are large cans of soup and cereal.

 

Backpack Program

Milly's Pantry Weekend Backpack Program: To help feed school age kids over the weekends, the needed food item right now is breakfast cereal bars or granola bars. These items cannot be purchased from Food Link, so your help is appreciated. Thank You!

 

Red Cross Needs~n~Things

For the month of January we are collecting hygiene items. Bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, deodorant and kotex. A box is in the sanctuary for your collections. Thank You.

 

Comfort on the Journey

A confidential mutual support group at Keuka Comfort Care Home for those whose lives have been impacted by the loss of a loved one. Meetings are  the 2nd Tuesday of every month, 7-8pm. 536-1690.
